A balanced diet is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. However, not all foods were created equal. While we know that fresh food is better than junk food, some natural foods seem to be a lot more beneficial than their counterparts. Below are just some super foods for thought.

They can help control blood sugar and keep you fuller for longer. Blueberries tend to be the pick of the bunch as they are among the best source of antioxidants and are more widely available.

3. Nuts

Nuts are rich in nutrients and may help reduce the risk of heart disease. Look for nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pistachios, or pecans. They make great snacks and are full of protein, heart-healthy fats, and antioxidants. Eat this super food in small portions as they do have a high fat content.
