10 Disconcertingly Positive Signs Your Ex is Definitely Over You …

Signs Your Ex Is Over You can be hard to accept, especially if you’re still in love with him or her. Sometimes, broken relationships can get healed … but other times you just have to give up the ghost. It can be hard, but that’s why you need to pay attention to all the signs your ex is over you. You don’t want to keep trying if he clearly doesn’t want to get back with you. There are a number of rather disconcertingly positive signs your ex is definitely over you – and here they are.

1. A New Number

One of the surest signs your ex is over you is if he changes his number – and doesn’t say a word about or let you in on the new digits. It may mean that he doesn’t want to be readily available to you any longer. In this case an ex is generally trying to make a new start.

2. A Change of Location

Ditto with this choice. It doesn’t mean your ex is moving, but he or she might start hanging out at different places. For example, if the two of you made a point of hanging out a certain bar or restaurant, he might start looking for a new hangout.

3. Less Texting

It’s not uncommon for you two to keep texting each other when you’ve just broken up. If your ex starts sending fewer messages, it may mean he’s ready to move on. If that’s the case, inundating him with messages is a bad move.

4. No Emails

Similarly, if he used to send cute emails, jokes, forwards, or just chatty notes and they start to taper off, that’s one of the signs your ex is over you. Again, it suggests he’s ready to move on. Keeping in close contact might bring up too many memories, or he might just be trying to phase out of your life – and to phase you out of his.

5. A Social Network Lockdown

Are you two friends on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks? If you find that you can’t see as many of his posts, he’s probably getting over you. He may even un-friend or un-follow you to get the message across.

6. He’s Never Home

When you start getting over someone, it’s typical to start going out a lot. That might mean taking vacations or just spending a lot of time with friends. At any rate, when an ex starts spending time away from home, doing his or her own thing, it’s definitely a sign that the relationship may be done for good.

7. New Hobbies

Another one of the big signs that your ex is over you involves picking up new hobbies. Anyone who’s gone through a breakup knows how important it is to stay distracted and engaged in new activities. This can be a sign that your ex is ready to move on.

8. New Clothes

A new shirt here or there doesn’t necessarily mean anything. I don’t know about you, though, but when I used to go through serious breakups, I had a tendency to get rid of the things that really reminded me of my ex – including clothes. Remember what Rory Gilmore did after breaking up with Dean for the first time? Look for signs like that.

9. The Flirt Is Gone

Even though it’s generally a bad idea, couples who have recently broken up but still talk tend to keep flirting with each other. It’s an awkward kind of “we’re broken up but still know everything about each other” dance. If he or she starts pulling back from that, it’s definitely one of the signs your ex is over you. He or she may not feel comfortable being that flirty anymore.

10. He Starts Dating

Lastly, the biggest sign is when your ex starts dating again. Even casual dating suggests that he or she is really trying to get past the relationship. Your ex may just be trying to forget you, but all the same, all signs point to the fact that the relationship is over.
You may recognize some of these signs your ex is over you, and if so, you have all my sympathy. I know how hard that can be. It doesn’t mean that you won’t be friends, that you still won’t be in each other’s lives, but for now it’s probably best to just walk away. Some of the signs your ex is over you might be up for debate, but most of them are pretty concrete. Don’t make things worse by trying to force something that’s not there. What are some other signs your ex is over you?

10 Times You Don’t Need to Apologize …

Stats show that girls give up plenty of apologies- and over half of them are unnecessary, because there are lots of times you don’t need to apologize! Imagine that, you are apologizing for things that you shouldn’t even feel a smidgen bad about! Not every less-than-perfect situation warrants an “I’m sorry” from your beautiful lips. So why are you giving one? There are certain times you shouldn’t feel bad, not even for the other person’s situation. It’s not your fault if they make less money than you or don’t feel the same way you do about something! So how do you know when you should own up or lay low? Keep reading this article and I will tell you 10 times you don’t need to apologize!

1. When You Have Harmless Indulgences

Eating raw cookie dough, taking a bubble bath daily, watching every episode of Glee…..hey, we all have those little harmless indulgences! Without them, life would be such a drag! Show me one person who doesn’t enjoy a few little things out of life, and I’ll show you a boring snob that has no friends. And we know that person isn’t YOU, right? So don’t apologize for being interesting!

2. When You RSVP “No”

You really don’t have to feel bad about not coming up with an excuse to attend your co-worker’s sister-in-law’s nephew’s birthday party. Really? Come on! A simple no is enough, and if they press it, just say you have other plans. Who cares if those plans are to chill in front of the TV in your sweats while you eat ice cream and popcorn for supper? The point is, this is one time when you don’t need to apologize!

3. When You Hate Your New Haircut

Your hairdresser isn’t the one who has to go home with those hideous poufy bangs so why are YOU the one squeaking out an apology? If you don’t like your haircut, it’s one time when you don’t need to apologize. And you may want to check the beauty shop’s policy-many places offer to fix your haircut for free if you hate it!

4. When You Show Up Solo

Nobody likes going stag-but come on! What kind of party would it be if no one there was single? Not a very great one probably! And there’s no shame in going to something more classy alone, such as a wedding or a dinner party. Who says you need a date to have a good time?

5. When You Give Your Honest Opinion

If your friend asks you for your opinion, there’s no need to start out by saying “I’m sorry, but…” Well she asked you didn’t she? So why should you apologize for being honest! And even if she doesn’t ask, what are friends for except to give each other advice and look out for one another’s well being? So don’t apologize for gently pointing out that your friend deserves better!

6. When You Get Paid

When you earn more than your friends do, that’s one of the times you don’t need to apologize. The key word here is EARN. Not that your friends don’t work hard, but if they want better for themselves, they can go after it. You deserve that paycheck, don’t feel bad about it!

7. When You Don’t Text Back in 5 Seconds

Don’t you just hate it when people text you every 10 seconds if you don’t respond to the first text right away? I know I do! It can be so annoying! For really important stuff, there’s this super cool cell phone feature that actually allows people to place a call! So if it’s an emergency or something important, your friends and family can call. Don’t feel as though you should apologize if you don’t text back after 5 minutes!

8. When You Delete Friends on Facebook

We all hate those people who update their status every hour, post annoying profile pictures, and constantly ask you to play Farmville and those other games you don’t have time for. And do you really need to be friends with that boy from kindergarten or your co-worker’s daughter’s boyfriend? Some people have better things to do with their time than weed through a bunch of facebook gossip and chatter, and you are one of those people! So when you delete friends from facebook, it’s one of those times you don’t need to apologize!

9. When You Only Pay for What You Ate

Let’s say you and a friend go shopping. If her purchases cost more than yours, you wouldn’t offer to split the bill, would you? Of course not! And that should be the same concept when you go out to eat with friends. If one of you has the bright idea to put it all on one bill, that’s perfectly fine, but at the end of the meal, you shouldn’t need to apologize when you only want to pay for your salad and diet coke. Especially when your friends all ordered stuffed crab and martinis!

10. When You Don’t Want to Share Your Clothes

You have worked hard making money to buy your clothes, and it has taken you a long time to build a wardrobe full of classy, nice pieces that you wear often. Don’t feel obligated to lend your clothes out every time a friend asks! If anyone is going to spill wine on your new dress, it had better be you! One time you don’t need to apologize is when you are taking care of your property!
Not everything in life has to be about you, and yes, there are times when you should own up to your mistakes and mea culpas. But these 10 times you don’t need to apologize are NOT on the list! These are times when you can walk away guilt free and faultless. So enjoy it, and for goodness sake don’t apologize for it! When do you think you SHOULD apologize, though?

7 Reasons To Look Your Best …

Of course, it is not always possible for you to look your best. But, there are many reasons why it is worth the effort you make to look great. Here is a list of 7 reasons to look your best at all possible times, in my opinion.

1. New life opportunities

There are many life opportunities that come by without knocking. For instance, you could meet the person of your dreams and fall in love at first sight. If such an opportunity were to present itself, wouldn’t you like to be sure that you looked your best?

2. New business opportunities

Just like life opportunities may present themselves unexpectedly, so can business or work opportunities. Who knows, you may be discovered as a new face by a prominent ad film maker. Or you may run into a guy who may be taking your interview the next day. Shouldn’t you be prepared for opportunities like these?

3. Increases your self esteem

One’s self esteem is largely dependent on one’s self image. If you have taken the trouble to groom yourself and look good, you are sure to feel good. There will be a bounce in your step that everyone is attracted to.

4. Other people’s reaction

Another one of the important reasons to look your best is that people unknowingly and subconsciously react to what they see. When they see a good looking person who is well groomed, they are sure to react and respond more positively.

5. Respecting the occasion

This is another of the important reasons to look your best. You need to look your best when you are in a social situation because that shows respect to the occasion you are a part of. This is just being well cultured.

6. Respecting the person

This is a matter of being well mannered. When you take the effort to groom yourself well, it shows that you are respectful of the company you are in. On the other hand, if you don’t take care of your appearance, the message that gets conveyed is that you don’t care about the opinion people may have of you because according to you their opinion means nothing.

7. Keeping the spark in the relationship alive

Even if you are already in a relationship and are not looking for love, there are reasons you should look your best at all times. No matter how young or old the relationship may be, appearances play a large part in keeping the spark in it alive. So, show love and respect for your partner and groom yourself on a daily basis.
Of course, like I said before there are more than these 7 reasons to look your best. But, it is a matter of things that are important to you. That is, of course, a subjective question. In my opinion, looking one’s best is a sign that you respect yourself, others around you and the situation you are in. So, don’t let yourself down.
