9 Craziest Lady Gaga Hairstyles…

Now we all know that Lady Gaga, more fondly known as Mother Monster goes all out to stand out and that almost always guarantees a bizarre ensemble. She defines OTT and it’s not just in the clothes (if you can call them that) but also her kooky shoes, her larger than life accessories and her Crazy Hairstyles. In the spirit of Halloween, I thought why not pay homage to some of  the Craziest Lady Gaga Hairstyles over the years. Best keep an open mind and mouth while checking out my picks for the Craziest Lady Gaga Hairstyles.

1. The Bow

Let’s start with the hairstyle that went viral shall we? Of course I’m talking about THE bow that was first seen in her Poker Face video that eventually went on to fascinate people far and wide for a very long time. I can definitely see the appeal though. What’s not to love about bows? They’re cute and the top of your head is as good a place as any to sport one. You Tube is full of how-to videos but if you are lazy like me, you can just buy one of these at Amazon.com.

2. Variations of the bow

I guess at some point the regular oversized bow on the top of your head just gets boring and you need variations,especially when you are Lady Gaga. So we saw the poodle-puff with lavender bows and then there were the two dual colored Mickey Mouse variations and that ladies is the story of how the bow went from cute to crazy.

3. Benjamin Button

This is by far one of the craziest Lady Gaga hairstyles I have ever seen! T’was June 2009 and Lady Gaga had just arrived at the Manchester Academy in England to show her support for those affected with HIV with what appeared to be a giant button sown to her head. Well, who needs sunglasses when you have a button of hair to keep the sun away…

4. Gaga mixes it up

The occasion: The Brit Awards, 2010. The hair: Lady Antoinette meets cotton candy. Of course when the hair is this dramatic, the outfit’s got to be sheer lace. She looks like an alien creature with evil powers et al and I love it!

5. Gaga goes Teal

I promised myself that I wouldn’t make any “green with envy” references but look how fantastic she looks in that teal bob. I could never pull that off! Okay, maybe that Marge Simpson-esque beehive makes me feel a wee bit better about my normal self. Just a little bit.

6. Lady in Red

That sheer red lace outfit is definitely something but the hair is just the perfect cherry on the cake. I honestly believe that although this is one of the craziest Lady Gaga Hairstyles ever, it looks pretty fantastic on her because of the regal, almost sun goddess like look to it. Warning: Do not imitate. No, seriously, don’t!

7. The Telephone Looks

Remember the video of her song, Telephone? I could do a whole new post on the craziest Lady Gaga Hairstyles (and outfits) based on that video alone but for now I will pick my two favorites. Soda can curls, anyone? That’s pretty innovative recycling I have to say. Also, what better hairstyle for a song named telephone than to have an actual telephone of hair stuck to your head. Oh Gaga.

8. Crazy Hat Lady

Sometimes it’s the hat that maketh the hair. Remember the very “architectural” hat at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards? And if that is not unique enough for you, how about this very unusual silver lobster hat that she wore to dinner? It does NOT get any more kitsch. Let’s just hope she did not go to a seafood restaurant that night.

9. Hairy Scary Monster

And last but not any less crazy are Lady Gaga’s hairy scary ensembles. Is it still called a “hairstyle” if the entire outfit is made of hair and isn’t it just a little bit creepy to be wearing all that hair?! Oh wait, we’re talking about the woman who wears raw meat.
After all the Craziest Lady Gaga Hairstyles we’ve just seen, I just have one question: Isn’t that too much weight for the top of someone’s head? Celebrities That Look Older than their real age are, indeed, a special group of celebs. They either have bad genes, overwork themselves, overdress themselves or allow drugs and alcohol to destroy the only thing they can’t buy – their skin. So, if you’ve ever seen some famous folks and thought “Maaaan, if I ever had to make a list of celebrities that look older I’d definitely put her in”, don’t worry, as I’ve been thinking the same thing. 1. Katie Holmes

Is it just me or this girl had somehow aged overnight? Seriously ladies – she was all cute and teeny than almost disappeared for a couple of months only to return looking like a mess (and I don’t mean the hot one). I could never ever believe youthful-looking Katie will end up being one of those celebrities that look older than their ID suggests but she proved me wrong.

2. Lindsay Lohan

Okay, so Lindsay is my age which makes her…umm… 25! Now, I certainly can’t say I’m the youngest-looking girl you’ll ever see and I certainly don’t dress teeny but darn it, I look 25 with or without makeup on! LiLo, in the other hand, has all the money she could ask for but chooses to spend it in all the wrong ways and, well, all that partying, drug and alcohol abuse and fake tan had to show up somehow and although I’m not blaming it entirely on her, I do believe she could have chosen a different path. Even plastic surgeons agree on this, saying Lindsay’s damaged skin makes her appear at least 15 years older!

3. Heidi Montag

Am I the only one who thinks Heidi was really beautiful BEFORE her countless plastic surgeries? Too bad she didn’t think so, she wouldn’t have wasted all that cash or winded up on my list (and God knows how many other lists) of celebrities that look older than they really are. Oh, well, like Heidi Montag cares what people say, think or write about her! But, wait, you never know – maybe she has actually made a smart move. You know how leather specialists always say you should keep your Chanel bags stuffed to keep their shape? Well, giving the amount of “stuffing” Heidi has, I doubt she’ll ever learn what wrinkles are.

4. Miley Cyrus

Well, I don’t really have to reinvent the wheel with this one because Miley herself said a shop assistant was trying to sell her anti-wrinkle cream believing she’s 40 and something. Poor woman had mistaken Miley’s bodyguard for her husband, she also thought the girl with Miley is her daughter (when she’s in fact her sister) and, like this was not enough, she also tried to compliment teen celebrity saying she’s holding up quite nicely for her age! Kids certainly grow fast these days, huh?

5. Pippa Middleton

Speaking about anti-wrinkle cream – here’s one lady that, according to many people, needs one badly. Now, if all of those “haters” were women, I could definitely call it a “jealous rant” and let it go but since many of the comments regarding her not-so-youthful appearance came from men (who, despite everything still love her famous backside), I can’t help but wonder – can being 28 and sporting wrinkles place Pippa in the group of celebrities that look older or group of celebrities who wish good genes were for sale?

6. Beyonce

Popular, talented, glamorous, happy and with a baby on the way – Beyonce certainly has every reason to be thirty and proud of it! Being her fabulous self, however, won’t get her off my list of celebrities that look older and, although I really admire her for her looks, talent and style, I must admit she hasn’t changed significantly in the last 5 or so years. In fact, Honey B started looking 30ish the moment she left Destiny’s Child and started a solo career! Lesson learned, B, now enjoy your life and take it easy girl – I don’t want to wake up the next morning and see you looking 40ish!

Can you guess Gaga’s age? Early 30’s maybe? Guess again! Gaga is only 25! Promise not to laugh now as I’m about to reveal something that may seem silly. You see, I had NO idea how old is she, I’ve learned this three days ago and man , I’m still shocked! I could have sworn she’s 30!

8. Fergie

This foxy lady is 36 or, that’s what she says. Now, looking at her body only you could never guess that but once you take a look at her face, you’ll soon realize telling her she looks 36 is actually a huge compliment. Some believe Fergie has been tampering with her birth certificate and she claims she has her former crystal meth addiction to “thank” for that terrible skin. What do you think?
Now, don’t think I’m jealous girls, in fact I must point out that these ladies didn’t end up on my list of celebrities who look older because they are old or bad-looking but simply because of that “WOW” people tend to scream out whenever they find out how old these gals really are. 1. Kermit the Frog Dress

Oh dear, oh my! Wait until Miss Piggy finds out about this, that mean Gaga is really going to get what she deserved! Kaka, Gaga! Kaka! Kermit is a legend, I grew up watching and loving the Muppet Show and you can’t just take Kermit and make a dress out of him. You can’t replicate him, can’t bedazzle his eyelids and certainly can’t wear him! Thumbs up for the make-up, though, as she actually looked sweet and natural and that’s something we don’t get to see very often.

2. Bubble Dress

Don’t try this at home or any other place, for that matter! This dress might not be one of the craziest Lady Gaga outfits but it sure is an interesting one to mention. Did you know that she designed this one herself? Yup, that’s what happens when Gaga goes to a museum and ends up liking a thing or two there! She couldn’t get the real deal, and by that I mean millions of dollars worth Hussein Chalayan piece, so she gathered her team up and they all came up with this bubbly sensation she just couldn’t wait to show off in public!

Okay, I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record, “Lady Gaga’s meat dress this, Lady Gaga’s meat dress that”, but I really think this is one of the craziest Lady Gaga outfits, if not THE absolute champion. Haters better think twice before accusing her that her style is not fresh and, just to make things clear- that is a desperate plea rather than an attempt to defend her style. Seriously guys, if you don’t watch your mouth, she might decide to wear a live one next time!

We have Giorgio Armani to thank for this amazing, very picturesque definition of what not to wear, well… probably anywhere (Halloween not included). I do, however, have to admit this is one of Gaga’s better outfits although I can’t exactly tell you why. It may have something to do with the fact that I can actually see her face… or not see her panties.

I was thinking to go with a “dress” but then I kind of changed my mind since I honestly doubt this classifies as one. Yes, the fashion world is full of surprises but this will never be a dress, no matter how weird the fashion gets. But, let’s get back to some of the craziest Lady Gaga outfits ever, this one included, of course! I still don’t understand point of covering your face when your panties and boobs are pretty much all out there but, hey – I really, really, really don’t need to understand everything!

6. Lobster Hairpiece

Dressed in nothing but a see-thru plastic dress and sporting a humongous sparkly lobster – now, if that doesn’t say Gaga, I don’t know what does! Interesting hairpieces are definitely her trademark and, while some of them are quite”wearable”, others (including this one ) just couldn’t get any more outrageous. Or… could they?

7. Almost Bridal

Gaga’s outfit of choice for the MTV Video Music Awards after party was this interesting white Gaultier dress which she chose to wear with the DIY medieval-ish hairpiece. Now, I don’t know what you have to say about this outfit but I think it’s kind of cool. Shocking, definitely, but still very cool. I’m a little bit disappointed with her choice to leave the bra at home and, if you manage to dig up a close-up, you’ll understand why.
